An evening of interactive experience

Expect an evening of interactive experience of remarkable surprises and secret story-lines. Witness incredible sets, interact with iconic characters. Enjoy food, have drinks and mingle with each other for the time of your life.

Do I need to wear a costume?

We encourage everyone to dress for the event and expect many will do. Rest assured, you will be given access to a secret website that will prepare you for the evening, giving you all the information you need. But how far you go is completely up to you.

Do I need to watch the film?

Step into the film

Some choose to watch the film before, so they can refresh their memory or get inspired. Others would say that saving it for Secret Cinema is the ultimate way to experience the film. Whatever you decide, there will be plenty of surprises in store.

FAQS

General

Is this an indoor event?
No. This is an outdoor live immersive experience which will take place on grass at a secret location in London (UK). The event will go ahead in all weather conditions if it is safe to do so.
Are there age restrictions for the evening shows?
All guests must be at least 18 years old. We operate a Think 25 Policy at the experience and guests will be required to show a valid photo ID in order to gain access to the experience.

Accepted forms of identification:
  • UK/International Passport
  • UK/International Driving Licence
  • PASS Scheme Card
Will food & drink be available at the show?
A range of food and drink will be available to purchase until 30 minutes before the event ends. Vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options will be available.
Do you accept cash and/or card payments at the show?
We operate on a cashless system, and therefore only accept card payments, which includes contactless as well as chip and pin payments. The cards accepted include: Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, V Pay, Maestro, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, UnionPay, and Discover.

Please note the show is a phone-free environment, therefore, payments can’t be made with your phone.
Is there a cloakroom?
No cloakroom is available on-site. We recommend that you travel light.
Are there any rules?
The Event Provider reserves the right to remove you from the Event if you are in breach of the House Rules. The House Rules can be found in the FAQ on the Event website and are communicated through email to the ticket buyer prior to their visit. We do not tolerate bad behaviour towards other guests, cast members or crew members.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Cameras, mobile phones, and other recording devices will be locked into an opaque bag for the duration of the Event and must not be used. If you are seen using your device, it will be confiscated and returned at the end of the Event. If you need to use your mobile phone in an emergency, a member of staff will be able to advise you on where you are able to do so.
Is there anything I shouldn’t bring?
Please do not bring:
  • Alcohol
  • Canes (canes needed for mobility are permitted)
  • Food
  • Animals/Pets (service animals permitted)
  • Audio recording devices
  • Drugs and drug paraphernalia
  • Flammables
  • Torches
  • Lasers
  • Professional cameras
  • Promotional items/unauthorised solicitations/vendors (including flyers, samples giveaways)
  • Selfie sticks/tripods
  • Weapons of any kind (including replicas)
  • Video cameras
Smoking
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is only permitted in designated smoking area(s) which are clearly signed.

The Experience

What happens on the night?
Our experiences explore one of the forgotten pleasures in a world with constant access to information: secrets. What we can promise is 3+ hours of remarkable surprises and pure disbelief. Secret storylines. Iconic locations. Memorable characters. Filmic dreamscapes.
Do you need to watch the film before attending?
Some choose to study the film religiously so they can recognise the finer details during the night. Others argue that this is the ultimate way to experience the film for the first time. The choice is yours!
Will we watch the film?
All customers will watch the film after the immersive experience.
Will there be seating?
Guests should be prepared to stand throughout the immersive experience as seating will be limited. During the screening, all seating is on the grass. Feel free to bring picnic blankets and/or cushions to the Event, however, please be sure to take them with you when you leave.
Do you need to go in character/costume?
We actively encourage everyone to dress for the event. You will be given exclusive access to a secret Event website that will prepare you for the evening, giving you all the information you need. After registering, you’ll be given a bespoke character to dress as for the evening. This is your chance to get creative and express yourself!

Getting Here

Meeting Point
Our Meeting Point is Acton Town station, fifteen minutes’ walk away from your final destination. You can find a map and a link to the meeting point in your Profile once you have registered on our Event website, to which you will receive an email invitation.
Arrival Time
Arrival times are subject to availability but can be changed (once you have registered on the Event website) unless alternate slots are fully booked. Don’t forget to send your registration details to the rest of your group.
Latest Arrival Times
Guests arriving at the Event after 7:30 pm may be refused admission. No refunds will be given for latecomers.
End Times
All performances end at 22:25. Please leave promptly and respect our neighbours.
Parking
There is no parking in or near the Event. All guests must use public transport to make their way to the meeting point (which can be found in your Profile on our Event website). In the event of a London Underground strike, our meeting point may also be reached by train and bus.

Accessibility

Is the event accessible?
We aim to make our events as accessible as possible. To ensure the best possible experience, please contact [email protected] before booking and outline any access requirements or concerns you have.

Blue Badge holders, Freedom Pass holders, and PIP/DLA recipients are entitled to a free carer ticket which may only be booked directly via email to [email protected].
What happens if I need assistance during the show?
Please alert a member of staff and they will assist you.
What should I expect at the show?
The event will include:
  • Loud music and noises as part of the experience.
  • Flashing lights as part of the experience (strobe lighting).
  • A film screening without subtitles or captions.
  • Accessible toilet facilities at the venue.
  • Vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free food options.
  • Hearing loop available upon request.
Wheelchair Access
We are able to accommodate wheelchair and mobility scooter users at the experience. The nearest station has step-free access from the platform to the street, and there is a 15 minute walk from the Meeting Point to the Event entrance. The Event (including entrance and exit time) runs for approximately 4 hours.

Please note that the venue is located on grass. If you require a wheelchair or a walking aid for your journey, we recommend contacting your local Red Cross branch or NHS Centre about short-term loans, or you may read more about the available services.
Guide Dogs
No animals except guide dogs are admitted. If you are planning on attending with a guide dog, please contact [email protected] at least 48 hours before the Event. Our team will be able to assist you with your journey.
Seating
Don’t forget, all seating is floor-seating. Feel free to bring picnic blankets and/or cushions to the Event, however, please take them with you when you leave. If you require access seating, please contact [email protected].

While we restrict the use of mobile devices at our venue, if you require their use for your accessibility needs please let us know by emailing [email protected] before your visit.

Tickets are issued subject to this Booking Information and Secret Cinema’s standard Event Terms and Conditions.

Is the event COVID-19 safe?

Visitors are no longer required to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test to attend our Events. To mitigate the risks associated with Covid-19, visitors experiencing symptoms associated with Covid-19 or who have tested positive for Covid-19 are asked not to attend and to contact [email protected] before the Event.

Ticket Type

All tickets are issued as Standard entries and include a general admission to the experience as well as unallocated floor seating (on grass). You will experience Secret Cinema the classic way:

  • Bespoke character and backstory
  • Immersive experience
  • Enhanced screening of Dirty Dancing

Are tickets available to buy on the night?

Unfortunately not. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event and all tickets will be sold online.

Find your Ticket Code

Your tickets were issued by Universe ([email protected]) and you will find your ticket code(s) in the body of the confirmation email. If you placed multiple orders, you received multiple email confirmations. Each code contains 9 characters that can be used multiple times to register on the Event website, so if you need to replace a member of your group, it’s fine to give their code to someone else.

Access your tickets in your Universe account

You can find your tickets in your Universe account here: https://www.universe.com/dashboard/tickets. If you did not register for an account during checkout, you can still do this with the address you used to book your tickets.

Where is the event?

If you access your ticket(s) on your mobile, do not use the auto-generated map in the ticket confirmation as it will not be accurate. Some devices will attempt to direct you to an incorrect location and you risk not finding the venue. Instead, you can find the meeting point location on our Event website, to which you will be invited via email

Is my ticket refundable?

All tickets are non-refundable except, subject to the terms and conditions, on cancellation of the Event by the Event Provider. In extenuating circumstances we may be able to assist in rescheduling your ticket to another date and time but this is not guaranteed.

If for any reason we need to cancel or delay the event, we will first endeavour to reschedule your ticket. If this is not possible, we will invite you to claim a refund, which you must exercise within 2 weeks of the cancelled event. In this instance, please contact [email protected] for more information and make sure to include your ticket order number in your email.

Can I change the date of my ticket?

All tickets are non-exchangeable. However, we recognise that sometimes, events are outside of your control. Please contact [email protected] and our Customer Success team will do their best to assist you. Please note, all exchanges are subject to availability.

Can someone else use my ticket?

Tickets are issued in the buyer’s name but may be used by guests of the ticket buyer. It is the ticket buyer’s responsibility to forward all event communications to the rest of their party.

The ticket buyer may amend the email address associated with the ticket by logging in to their Universe Account.

Can I add more tickets to my booking?
